Along with the competition for admission to
the best universities/institutions to pursue a career as an engineer, the
BITSAT exam has a significant presence among national level exams.
BITSAT is
an online exam that includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, and
Mathematics/Biology for grades 11 and 12 covering the entire NCERT syllabus of both the classes.
Many students preparing for JEE, will also
prepare for BITSAT parallelly. Although both the examinations are meant for
pursuing the career in engineering domain, there is a major difference among
the examination pattern. JEE evaluates the conceptual learning of an individual
wherein BITSAT deals in time and accuracy evaluation.
How to prepare for BITSAT?
BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and
Science Aptitude Test), conducted by Birla Institute of Science and
Technology (BITS Pilani). The exam
was supposed to take place from June 24 to June 30, 2021, however due to the
second wave of COVID 19, it was
postponed, and the dates have yet to be determined. Please follow the
guidelines below to ace the BITSAT exams:
· Identify the syllabus: The BITSAT exam covers the syllabus of NCERT of classes 11 and 12. With the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Comprehension Logical reasoning
· Understand the exam Pattern: The exam is conducted in an online mode and constitutes of 4 sections with a total of 150 questions from the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English proficiency and Logical reasoning.
Every correct answer is awarded 3 marks and every wrong answer gains a negative marking of 1 mark.
