VITEEE 2020 Registration, Exam Date, Syllabus, New Exam Pattern & Eligibility Criteria



Vellore Intitute of Technology (VITEEE) 2020 Application Form has been released. Vellore Institute of Technology conducts VITEEE for the intake of the candidates' aspiring admission in BTech programs in VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP and VIP Bhopal. It is a prestigious institute and offer 36 undergraduate (UG), 31 postgraduate (PG), 4 integrated & 3 research programmes.
VIT University is the main authority which organizes a university level entrance examination. This exam will be organized in 118 cities across India and abroad (Dubai, Kuwait, and Muscat).

VITEEE 2020 : Exam Date and other Important Dates

Registration form for the entrance exam usually released in last week of September. For VITEEE 2020 forms are released on 27th September 2019. Following are the important dates to keep a note of:

VITEEE 2020 : Application Form

  • The application form for VITEEE 2020 is available in online as well as offline mode.
  • The online form can be obtained from the official university website www.vit.ac.in and the offline form from the selected post offices whose details will be provided on the website.
  • A separate application form is made available for foreign candidates and will have to apply directly through foreign category only.
  • The applicants will have to provide the details such as name, gender, category, address, educational qualification, etc in the application form.
  • After entering all the details in the form, upload the scanned images of photograph and signature, the candidates will have to submit it along with the required application fee. However, the university also provide the opportunity to make correctionin the application form.
  • The OMR application form should be enclosed in the printed envelope provided, addressed to Director- UG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore- 632 014 and send it through registered post/ speed post. The online form should be submitted online only.

Application fee can be made through NET Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Demand Draft (DD).

VITEEE 2020: New Exam Pattern

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has made a slight change in the exam pattern this year. It included an aptitude section in its computer-based test “VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE)” starting with the 2020-21 batch.
There will be 10 aptitude questions and 5 questions have been reduced from physics and chemistry each. Candidates will get 2 hours 30 minutes to solve the questions and there is no negative marking. Smmerised information will be like this :

  • Maximum Time: 2:30 hours
  • Language of paper: English

VITEEE 2020: Syllabus

The syllabus of VITEEE will consist of topics from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English from 11th and 12th standard examination. A complete syllabus information and papers based on that syllabus can be found in VITEEE Chapterwise Explorer.

 VITEEE 2020: Suggested Books

The syllabus of VITEEE is more or less same as the JEE Main hence for theory students should study JEE Main books. A  little more practice is required for Aptitude and English so we suggest following books:

VITEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must fulfil the eligibility criteria as mentioed before submission of application form:
  • Age Limit:Candidates whose date of birth fall on or after 1st July 1998 are eligible.
  • Nationality:The applicant will have to be a Resident/ NON Resident of India/PIO. Foreign candidates are also eligible.
  • Minimum Qualification:Aspirant shouls either appearing or completed class 12th, intermediate or 2-year pre university,  class 10th appearing or completed for foreign students, General Certificate  Education (GCE) examination at Advanced (A) level, NIOS board candidates can apply.
  • Subjects:Must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English (PCME)  for all B.Tech degrees program. Whereas those who have Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English (PCBE) will only be eligible for B.Tech & BIO-Stream degree programmes (bio-engineering, bio-technology, CSE with spl. in bioinformatics & ECE with spl. in bio-medical engineering programmes.
  • Qualifying Marks : General Category- Candidates should have scored an aggregate of 60% in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry in 10+2.
SC, ST, J&K, North Eastern states- Candidates should have scored an average 50% marks in Physics, Maths, and Chemistry in 10+2 or its equivalent exam.

VITEEE 2020 Slot Booking

VITEEE is an online exam that will held from Second to third week of April 2020. There will be 3 shifts per day as per the timing below:


All candidates will have to book their slot to generate admit card. Selection of city & timings will be done by candidate while booking the slot.
Once confirmed no candidate will be allowed to change their slots. Hence be careful white selecting date, time, city during the process. The process will take place during Second week of March, 2020. Candidates will be notified for the same.

 VITEEE 2020 : Admit Card

The admit card will be generated for the candidates once they book the test slot through Online Test Booking System. The candidates will have to enter their application form number and online test booking password in order to download the admit card. The candidate must carry the admit card to the exam center in order to appear for the exam.

VITEEE 2020 : Result

VITEEE is an online exam and hence result processing does not take much time. By 30th April 2020, the result will be published on VIT official website of the. Candidates will get the information about their rank on their registered mobile number also. Based on the merit list qualified candidates will be shortlisted and will be called for the counselling.

 VITEEE 2020 : Counselling

The shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the counselling process. The candidates will be required to attend the counselling in person. The candidates will have to carry the important documents along with them at the time of counselling for verification purpose. After verification of documents and other eligibility requirements, the candidates will be allowed to participate in the counselling.

WBJEE 2020 Registration Process Started- Know How to Apply!


Great news for WBJEE 2020 aspirants! The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board, WBJEEB has released the WBJEE 2020 application form on its official website i.e., wbjeeb.nic.in. WBJEE is conducted every year with the sole aim of imparting education in medical, engineering and technological courses in the State of West Bengal. As per the notification the online application process has already begun. Here is the list of some important dates regarding WBJEE 2020:

  • Go to the official website wbjee.nic.in.
  • On the home page, click on the link for Fill Application Form for WBJEE 2020.
  • Now, click on Apply button under the New Candidates Registration section.
  • Fill the online application form and upload the necessary documents as mentioned in the application form.
  • Pay the examination fee to complete the process.
  • After successful payment, download the confirmation page.
Before filling up the form, you must know some important points regarding the eligibility criteria and application fee.

Eligibility criteria and Application fee:

  • All candidates applying for WBJEE 2020 must be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2020.
  • Candidates who are 12th passed or its equivalent in regular class mode with Physics and Maths as subjects along with either one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as a mandatory subject with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates appearing in 12th Board exam (10+2) in 2020 are also eligible to apply.
  • All candidates are required to pay the Application fee of Rs. 700/- . Payment can be made through offline or online mode.

SSC MTS 2019 Result Date Announced - Check Details Here!


The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is all set to released the result of SSC MTS Tier 1 exam which was conducted from 2nd August to 22nd August 2019. As per the latest notice released by SSC, the result for SSC MTS 2019 Tier-I exam will be declared on 25th October 2019. This year, more than 38 lakhs candidates applied for SSC MTS 2018-19 exam but only 19.18 lakh Candidates appeared in the SSC MTS 2018-19 Tier-I Exam.

  • A PDF will open which will have all the details of the candidates who have qualified SSC MTS Tier 1 Exam 2019
  • Check your name/roll number in the list
SSC MTS Exam 2019 consists of two stages i.e. Computer Based Examination (Paper-I) and a Descriptive Paper (Paper-II).  Candidates who will qualify in SSC MTS Computer Based Test will be eligible to appear for SSC MTS Paper 2.
SSC MTS Paper 2 will be conducted on 17 November 2019. The exam will be of descriptive type in which the candidate will be required to write a short essay or letter in English, Hindi or in any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.

10 Indian Scientists Who Changed The World With Their Intellect


India has a rich history of geniuses and scientists whose work has been highly appreciated across the globe. Some of our Indian scientists have created history by changing the world and setting benchmarks of innovation. In our country, great mathematicians and scientists like Aryabhata have been born who invented zero and introduced the world to the knowledge of the number for the first time. Here, we have created a list of 11 remarkable Indian scientists and their wonderful contributions.  Let’s take a look at how they changed the world as we know it!

  1. CV Raman (Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman) (1888 – 1970)
Dr. C V Raman was not only a great scientist but also believed in social development. Born in Tiruchirapalli on November 7, 1888, he was the first Asian to win Nobel prize in Physics for his pioneering work on scattering of light in 1930.
 He discovered that, when light traverses a transparent material, some of the deflected light changes in wavelength. This phenomenon is now called the Raman scattering and is the result of the Raman effect. Raman also worked on the acoustics of musical instruments. He was the first to investigate the harmonic nature of the sound of the Indian drums such as the tabla and the mridangam. He died of natural causes on 21 November 1970 in the gardens of his institute (the Raman Research Institute in Bangalore).

  1. Jagadish Chandra Bose (1858 - 1937)
Born in Mymensingh, Jagadish Chandra Bose was a man of many talents. He was a polymath, physicist, biologist, archaeologist and early writer of science fiction. He was the first person to use semiconductor junctions to detect radio signals, thus demonstrating wireless communication for the first time.
His invention ‘Crescograph’ helped him prove that plants are living entity by detecting very small motions within its tissues. In his lifetime, his other major contributions were in physics, and archaeology. He was the first Indian to be elected as a fellow of the royal society in 1920.

  1. Shrinivasa Ramanujan (1887-1920)
Shrinivasa Ramanujan is one among the greatest mathematical geniuses of India. Without any formal training he had contributed to many mathematical fields, such as number theory, infinite series, complex analysis and continued fractions. Ramanujan’s knowledge of mathematics was startling.
Early in the 20th century, he developed an exceptionally efficient ways of calculating pi that were later incorporated into computer algorithms.  It was one of his most celebrated findings. His birth anniversary is celebrated as national mathematics day every year.

  1. Homi Jehangir Bhabha (1909 - 1966)
Homi Jehangir Bhabha is most commonly referred to as the Father of the Indian Nuclear Program. He was born on October 30, 1909, to an illustrious family. He was related to the famous industrialist Dorabji Tata, who was his uncle, and a crucial figure in helping to expand and grow Tata Groups.
In 1948, he became the first chairperson of the atomic energy commission of India. He played a key role in convincing the Nehru Govt to start India’s Nuclear Programme.
He was the founding director of two institutions – Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), both of which led to immense growth and development in the field of research. In 1954, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan for his invaluable contributions to science and engineering.

  1. M Visvesvaraya (1861 - 1962)
Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was born into a Telugu Brahmin family in a village near Bangalore, India. He is known around the world for his contribution in harnessing water resources. And also responsible for the building and consolidation of dams across the country. He is also credited for Block System invention that was used in the conditions of overflow.
For his relentless contribution to the society he was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1955. Some of his inventions are still considered as engineering marvels. He was also awarded the British knighthood by King George V, and hence has the honorific "sir". His birthday is celebrated as engineer’s day in India every year.

  1. Subrahmanyan Chandrashekhar (1910 - 1995)
Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar was an Indian-American astrophysicist born in Lahore, Punjab. He was known to the world as ‘Chandra’ which means ‘moon’. He was best known for his mathematical treatment of stellar evolution. And particularly on the later evolutionary stages of massive stars and the calculation of the Chandrasekhar limit.
S. Chandrashekhar was awarded Nobel prize in Physics for his mathematical Theory on black holes. His most celebrated work is on the radiation of energy from stars. Named after him, the Chandrasekhar limit defines the maximum mass of a stable white dwarf star.

  1. A P J Abdul Kalam (1931 - 2015)
Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen (APJ) Abdul Kalam was one of the very rare ones scientists of India. A poet, motivator, leader, teacher, missile man—the world knows him by many names. He served as the President of India from 2007-2011 and was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1997 for his contributions in the field of science and engineering.

Dr. Kalam started his career by designing a small helicopter for the Indian Army. Kalam was also part of the INCOSPAR committee working under Vikram Sarabhai, the renowned space scientist. In 1969, he was transferred to the ISRO where he developed the Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV 3) at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, which put the satellite Rohini into orbit. He also became the director of two projects - Project Devil and Project Valiant after the success of the SLV programme in 1970.
After working for two decades in ISRO, Dr. Kalam was appointed as the CEO of IGMDP (Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme). He was the Scientific Adviser to the defence minister.

He also supervised the multiple nuclear tests carried out at Pokhran in 1998 and made India a nuclear weapon state. In 1994, Dr. Kalam collaborated in designing a cost-effective coronary stent called as 'Kalam-Raju-Stent' that made healthcare accessible for all. From light combat aircrafts to rugged tablet computer, he contributed in every part for country’s’ welfare.

Dr kalam, born on October 15, 1931 left millions of people in shock as his soul departed on July 28, 2015. His personal journey has been a source of motivation to all students who want to be successful.


  1. Vikram Sarabhai (1919 - 1971)
Dr. Vikram Sarabhai was the key person behind the launch of India’s first satellite ‘Aryabhatta’. He is widely regarded as the Father of the Indian space program. His studies made it evident that the cosmic rays are a flow of energy particles with its source in outer space. He initiated space research and helped to develop nuclear power in India.
He also established the Community Science Center, with an objective to spread scientific knowledge, to create interest in science and to promote experimentation among students, teachers and the general public. The establishment of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was one of his greatest achievements. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1966 and the Padma Vubhushan after his death in 1972.

  1. Prafulla Chandra Ray (1861 - 1944)
Prafulla Chandra Ray was one of the greatest Chemist of India. He was the founder of India's first pharmaceutical company, Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals. He was awarded the Hope Prize for his thesis and research on 'Conjugated Sulfate of Copper Magnesium Group: A Study of Isomorphs Mixtures and Molecular Combinations.'
Soon after finishing his doctorate, he became a professor at the Presidency College in Calcutta. There he was awarded to the Presidency University in honor of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray.

  1. Satyendra Nath Bose (1894 - 1974)
Satyendra Nath Bose was a famous theoretical physicist who hailed from Calcutta, West Bengal. He is best known for his work on quantum mechanics in the early 1920s, and working with Albert Einstein on the Bose-Einstein Condensate and as namesake of the boson, or “God particle.”
In 1954, the Indian government honoured Bose with the title Padma Vibhushan and awarded the second-highest civilian award in India. Five years later, he was appointed as the National Professor, the highest honour in the country for a scholar.


Apart from these extraordinary names, we cannot overlook the contributions of other Indian eminent Indian Scientists like Meoseghnad Saha, Har Govind Khurana, Salim Lal and others.

IBPS PO Prelims Admit Card Released - Know the Process Here!


Attention to all IBPS PO 2019 aspirants! The Institute of Personnel Banking Selection IBPS has released the Admit Card of Preliminary Exam for the recruitment of probationary officers (PO). All candidates who are appearing for the exam can now download their admit cards or call letters from the official website of the IBPS i.e., ibps.in.

Important Dates for IBPS PO Admit Card 2019

Commencement of Admit Card Download: 30 September 2019
Last Date of Admit Card Download: 19 October 2019
IBPS PO Prelims Exam Date: 12, 13, 19, 20 and 20 October 2019.

 How to download IBPS PO Prelims Admit Card 2019:

  1. Log on to official website (ibps.in).
  2. Click on the link that says 'Download online preliminary exam call letter' on the homepage
  3. Select the English or Hindi in log credential dialogue box to download admit card
  4. Enter details like Registration No / Roll. No. and Password / DOB (DD-MM-YY) and provided captcha
  5. The Admit Card/ Call Letter will be displayed on the screen.
  6. Download the admit card and take a printout for future reference.

Necessary Things to Carry In IBPS PO Prelims Examination Centre

  • Admit Card
  • One of these Photo IDs - Voter’s Id/ Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ Bank Passbook
The IBPS PO Prelims Exam will be held through online mode. The exam will have questions from the English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability . The total time duration will be of 60 minutes for 100 questions. All questions will be MCQ types with a penalty of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer.


Candidates have to qualify in each of the three sections by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Those who will qualify the prelim exam will be eligible to sit for IBPS PO Main examination on November 30.
